A non-judicial process of deed of trust foreclosure is chiefly followed in the State of Minnesota. Conversely, a judicial process can be sought for by a lender if there is no power of sale language used in the deed of trust.
A foreclosure property in Minnesota cannot be sold at the public auction of foreclosure sale before sixty days, starting from the time the notice of default is served to the owner of the property.
It is not recommended to wait till the foreclosure reaches Real Estate Owned stage, because properties are known to sell for a lesser amount during the preforeclosure stage.
